Meet Leslee Archer, Sales Leader at GLT Products and Member of NAWIC Cleveland.

Leslee Archer brings her dynamic personality and passion for the building industry to both her professional life and her involvement with NAWIC Cleveland. As a sales leader with GLT Products, Leslee manages a talented team across Western New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. Her team specializes in selling insulation products, and she takes pride in leading them to success while balancing the nuances of her company’s acquisition and brand evolution.

Professional Journey: Leslee’s career spans over two decades in the building industry, including 15 years working in her family’s roofing business and serving on the board of the Home Builders Association (HBA) in Cleveland. Leslee joined GLT and was tasked with bridging the gap between her company and its parent company, SPI. She’s spent the last three years working to merge the cultures of these two entities while maintaining GLT’s longstanding family-owned feel. Her hands-on approach and ability to foster relationships across different regions have made her a key player in the company’s success.

Discovering NAWIC: Although Leslee has only been a member of NAWIC Cleveland for a year, she’s already found a welcoming and inclusive community. “I was a little nervous at first—worried people wouldn’t get my sense of humor—but right away, I felt like I belonged,” she shared. Leslee appreciates NAWIC’s wide-reaching influence across various roles in the construction industry, from sales and human resources to engineering and procurement. She enjoys connecting with women who share common challenges and triumphs in the industry. “The support system here is incredible. Everyone just wants to help each other succeed,” Leslee noted.

A Passion for Volunteering: Leslee’s commitment to NAWIC goes beyond just attending meetings. She’s actively involved in planning next year’s golf outing and serves on the Professional Development and Education (PD&E) committee. As a natural leader, Leslee is looking forward to bringing her innovative ideas to the golf event and pushing for greater sponsor involvement. “I don’t mind failing if it happens, but I believe in trying new things. Just because something didn’t work 10 years ago doesn’t mean it won’t work now,” she emphasized.

Life Beyond Construction: Leslee’s energy extends far beyond her career. She’s a mom of five children and a grandmother, always juggling her busy family life with her adventurous spirit. Whether she’s skiing, playing volleyball or pickleball, or hiking in Colorado. Leslee thrives on staying active. She and her partner, Bob, enjoy boating on Lake Erie and traveling the world, with their most recent trip taking them to Tokyo.

Why NAWIC Matters: For Leslee, NAWIC is more than just a professional network—it’s a place where women in construction can share their experiences and support each other in balancing work and life. “NAWIC brings together women who get it. Whether you’re balancing a career and family or managing personal and professional challenges, there’s always someone here who understands,” Leslee explained. She believes that NAWIC offers a unique space for women to connect and learn from each other, regardless of their specific roles in the industry.

Invitation to Engage: Leslee invites anyone curious about NAWIC to join a meeting and experience the community firsthand. “It’s not just about construction—it’s about finding support, learning, and growing together,” she said. Leslee is excited to continue her journey with NAWIC and looks forward to contributing even more to the organization in the coming years.
