Going Above and Beyond

Role Model and Mentor

As a female founded and certified female-owned business, Tari is dedicated to strengthening diversity in the construction industry and in our community. Her role as a mentor and role model not only to NAWIC members but to all women in the construction industry. She consistently spends her free time volunteering in the construction community to further solidify her skills and knowledge with others interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry. This is done through her tireless effort with NAWIC, ACE Mentoring Program and Block Kids just to name a few programs

Construction Academy

Tari developed the Construction Academy to connect students to careers in architecture, engineering, and construction. By collaborating with K-12 schools, she tailored curriculums to teach design and construction through hands-on activities, reaching nearly 1,000 students.

Industry Impact and Accomplishments

Starting as a project engineer, Tari rose to prominence as one of the few female engineers in her field. After her employer closed in 1994, she founded her own company, inspired by industry observations. Her accomplishments as a project manager and advocate for diversity have earned her respect and admiration. Tari’s leadership has inspired positive change, fostering inclusivity in construction.

Closing Remarks

Tari exemplifies integrity and innovation, creating work environments where all partners feel valued. We urge the committee to honor her remarkable contributions by awarding her the NAWIC Lifetime Achievement distinction. Tari’s inspiring leadership continues to shape the future of construction.
