In September, Adria McDaniel of Workman Industrial Services, Inc. was installed as 2025-2026 President of the NAWIC Cleveland Chapter. The installation ceremony took place at Brew Wall in Broadview Heights. Here is a transcript of Adria’s acceptance speech:

——————

I am truly honored—and deeply humbled—to stand before you today as the newly elected President of the Cleveland Chapter of NAWIC.

First, I want to take a moment to thank those who have paved the way for this moment. To our outgoing leadership—thank you for your dedication, your passion, and your tireless efforts in advancing our mission. You’ve built a strong foundation, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to build upon it.

To my fellow members: thank you for your trust in me. This is more than just a title—it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. Our chapter represents something powerful: a collective of resilient, driven, and talented women making their mark in an industry that is evolving every day. And we are a part of that evolution.

NAWIC is not just about construction. It’s about constructing opportunityempowerment, and lasting impact. And here in Cleveland, we have a unique opportunity to lead by example—not only in our industry, but in our community.

As President, I commit to three core goals during my term:

1. Elevate Voices: I want to make sure every member feels heard, valued, and empowered to lead. Whether you’re just starting out or have decades of experience, your perspective matters.

2. Advance Professional Development: This year, we’ll focus on strengthening our members’ careers by offering access to training, certifications, workshops, and leadership resources. Let’s equip each other to not just succeed—but to lead with confidence.

3. Strengthen Our Presence: It’s time for Cleveland to see and hear NAWIC loud and clear. We will increase our visibility through industry events, and community service. Together, we will make sure our chapter is not just active—but impactful.

This chapter is more than an organization. It’s a sisterhood. It’s a force. And as we look to the future, I see possibilities. I see progress. I see women who are not just participating in the construction industry—but reshaping it.

Let’s be bold. Let’s be visible. Let’s be the builders of change.

Thank you again for this incredible opportunity. I’m ready to get to work—and I know you are too.

Let’s build something extraordinary, together.

Thank you.
